The leading automation software for breweries now comes with new security features, an improved user interface and an innovative open automation solution from Schneider Electric
BrauBeviale, a leading capital goods trade fair for the international beverage industry, takes place at the Exhibition Center in Nuremberg from November 28-30, 2023. ProLeiT – one of the world’s leading providers of automation solutions for breweries and beverage producers – will be presenting its entire portfolio at Booth 619 in Hall 7.
The main focus of its trade fair show this year will be on the new version V9.90 of the brewmaxx automation solution – ProLeiT’s solution for the brewing industry based on the Plant IT process control system (which is now also available in a new version). Today, the software is used as a standard system by over 850 companies within the industry, including some of the world’s leading breweries and beverage producers. In fact, roughly every fourth beer in the world is brewed with the help of brewmaxx. As an object-oriented, PLC-based process control system, featuring MES functions and integrated recipe control, brewmaxx can be used with controllers from various manufacturers. The scalable brewmaxx license model enables the easy implementation of various plant sizes – from small craft brewpubs to large-scale breweries.
New features of version V9.90
Key new features relate to cyber security and compatibility with the latest SQL licenses from Microsoft. Yet another new feature is the integration of the distributed software-based controller EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE) from Schneider Electric, which enables ProLeiT to continue on its path towards open, manufacturer-independent automation. The initial automation classes are already available, thereby allowing the implementation of small and compact brewery facilities with the help of EAE.
Also on show at the trade fair will be brewmaxx LMS, the web-based Line Management System for bottling lines, and brewmaxx Smart Operations, the responsive web apps for mobile end devices, which significantly increase mobility and flexibility when it comes to controlling and monitoring fully automated systems.
Visitors to the trade fair will also be able to marvel at the brewmaxx Equipment Modules. They are context-specific applications that encapsulate the technical functions of various brewing facilities. Further, they automatically control complex procedures, e.g., in water mixers, raking systems, agitators or tank cooling systems.
ProLeiT addresses the ever-increasing relevance of modular systems through its Batch Orchestration System (BOS). The innovative solution for plant orchestration includes functions such as order processing, batch tracking or recipe, parts list and materials management and can be used irrespective of the controller platform.
