Diageo: ProLeiT receives the “Engineering Award“

It is not every day you win an award and this is what made it an extra special occasion for the ProLeiT employees involved in the extension project at the Saint James’s Gate Brewery, the site where the world famous Guinness beer is brewed: ProLeiT AG was awarded the “Diageo Engineering Award – Heroes of Excellence” for outstanding performance during the project realisation phase. The project in Dublin was not only carried out effectively and efficiently but also to the complete satisfaction of Diageo, which felt that the services provided by the German engineers warranted the “Diageo Engineering Award”. During the Engineering Excellence Event, that took place on March 26 at the Guinness storehouse, the award was handed over by Dave O‘Leary (see photo, left hand side), Engineering Excellence Strategy Director at Diageo, to Dr. Thomas Preuß (see photo, right hand side), Sales Manager at ProLeiT. The project was realised by ProLeiT for three different equipment manufacturers in the fields of malt, brewhouse and fermenting cellar and the project team ensured the required software was a homogenous and integrated solution. The commissioning phase, in particular, which took almost eight months to complete, was an enormous challenge for everyone involved and was mastered by the ProLeiT team with exceptional commitment and the required flexibility to meet all the client’s demands.
