drinktec 2017: ProLeiT presents new upgrade 9.50 and innovative system extensions

To coincide with the drinktec exhibition, ProLeiT presents the upgrade 9.50 of its in-house developed process control systems and MES solutions Plant iT and brewmaxx. New operating dialogues, developed on the basis of extensive usability tests, ensure greater operating flexibility while supporting more efficient and effective plant management.
A further highlight at drinktec will include ProLeiT’s announcement that the Plant iT and brewmaxx systems have now been released for S7-1500 Advanced Controllers from Siemens. Furthermore, the new system extensions LMS, Batch Cockpit and Web Portal will be presented in Hall 3 / Stand 324.

Smart solutions for the process industry 4.0
Interested visitors to the exhibition can additionally pick up more information about digitisation and Industry 4.0 and discover the importance of Industry 4.0 for process automation, how it is incorporated into ProLeiT’s solutions and which added value benefits it offers plant operators.
In this context, ProLeiT will utilise drinktec to unveil a new stage on the journey towards digital transformation and demonstrate how converting data into information can now be taken to the next level in the process industry. Using Predix, the innovative cloud platform from GE Digital, captured data can be analysed via the Industrial Internet faster, more efficiently and – thanks to the innumerable opportunities of machine learning – from completely new perspectives. Through the holistic approach to industrial plants, data analyses and real-time monitoring, the Predix-based Plant iT cloud solution is able to deliver reduced downtime, optimised process design, increased market agility, profitable growth and thus enhanced productivity.

Line management: minimising downtime, maximising plant efficiency
Downtime means losses. Since even the shortest amount of downtime, so-called micro-stops, can reduce a system's effectiveness significantly. Within this context, a Line Management System (LMS) provides a great solution and helps to determine the causes of downtime. Thanks to LMS, which is available as both an add-on for the production data management system Plant Acquis iT and for brewmaxx - the industry solutions for breweries - ProLeiT enables simple access to the world of Line Management.
The add-on records the automated downtime of plants and machines. The causes of downtime and other system or order-related data can be entered at any time manually via drop-down boxes. The entire data can be analysed down to the finest detail with the help of the drill-down-function: downtime periods can then be arranged hierarchically with varying levels of detail from the overall bottling plant to individual units.

Batch Cockpit: perfect entry point to integrated batch analysis
Modern production companies realise: high data availability during production gives a real competitive advantage over every rival. Effective and efficient processes can only be achieved when you are well informed of the current plant status regarding capacities, materials and costs - at all times. The ability to know which batch is produced when, how and where and at which level of quality is thus elementary. The large volumes of data generated during production proceedings often place an excessive burden on operators – correlations remain undetected and potentials unused.
The add-on Batch Cockpit from ProLeiT is a clever software solution for evaluating, processing and validating production data. Thanks to seamless integration in other functions of the MES solutions Plant Integrate iT and brewmaxx Integrate, all the data can be further processed and prepared productively.

Web Portal: web reporting including SDK for web applications
The browser-based Web Portal can be used to open reports online. It is not necessary to install third-party software (Java, Silverlight, Flash, or similar). The Web Portal enables the retrieval of standard production reports (e.g. batch or brew reports) from several production servers and the retrieval of MES reports. Reports created via Microsoft Reporting Services, in particular, can process data from various sources (e.g. partner system databases, OLAP, web services). All the reports from all of the sources can be selected and displayed in the same user interface via variable filters.
Further, the module features a Software Development Kit (SDK) for generating unique applications. The Web Portal is available for Plant iT and for brewmaxx - the industry solutions for breweries.
