Industry 4.0? – Only with MES!

ProLeiT presents trend-setting MES and automation solutions at ACHEMA

ACHEMAWhile investigating the focal topic of ‘Flexible Production’, experts at this year’s ACHEMA in Frankfurt will ask the question: What will the process industry look like in 2025? ProLeiT AG will answer this question and showcase innovative ideas for its process control systems and MES solutions in Hall 11.1 / Stand A-36 from 11 to 15 June. At ProLeiT’s stand, interested visitors to the exhibition can discover how state-of-the-art automation solutions help to optimise production processes, reduce energy costs and minimise downtime.

The digitisation of production helps to increase productivity and improve business earnings. Procedures become more transparent and comprehensible, complex production processes more reliable and secure, and employees – supported by corresponding software – more effective and efficient in the work they do. 
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) play a key role in the digitisation of industry. As the factory’s central information system, the MES is also a giant step towards Industry 4.0.

Plant Integrate iT allows you to make all your production processes ‘visible’. A key prerequisite for achieving this objective is continuous information management at MES level, which can be integrated and operated infinitely across process sequences and departments. Plant Integrate iT can be used to merge and evaluate the required data from individual production areas. 
The resulting manufacturing transparency ensures product, process, quality and material information is visualised quickly and efficiently.

Big data analysis via dashboards
Freely configurable dashboards ensure a clear overview of all the collected production data. Besides the standard function, recorded and archived data can be filtered according to various criteria (time period, order, customer, product, batch, location and energy consumption), interlinked as desired and presented in the most modern format possible thanks to visual analytics. In many cases, interrelations become apparent that would otherwise be invisible, as the data is either unavailable or stored at various locations and systems across different departments. Supervisors can therefore respond faster to any deviations, sometimes even in real time.

The method of predictive analytics already applied by ProLeiT helps plant operators to predict the probability of future events more reliably, instead of just analysing production data retrospectively. However, our goal for the future is based on prescriptive analytics that generates recommendations for action using automatically captured and continuously processed data. Plant operators are thus given the opportunity to adapt production parameters, formulas (recipes) and processes; thereby constantly optimising their production results.
