Maximum efficiency in manufacturing with integrated process automation solutions from ProLeiT

These are exciting times for manufacturing, as process automation offers numerous benefits, including increased efficiency, reduced errors, improved consistency, and the ability to free up personnel for strategic tasks. The use of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in conjunction with Process Control Systems (PCS) increases transparency and efficiency and ensures accurate data collection, improved quality control and better resource utilization. With brewmaxx from ProLeiT, MES functionality is seamlessly integrated into the process control system, enabling better decision making and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Automated CIP process saves considerable operating costs

CIPoptimize, the new platform-independent CIP automation solution from ProLeiT, ensures the cleanliness and hygiene of process systems and thus the safety of the processed products. Many CIP processes are time-consuming and resource intensive. They consume considerable amounts of energy, chemicals, and water. CIPoptimize has been specially developed to collect all the necessary data to fully document the cleaning process. The comprehensive functions of CIPoptimize help to minimize losses in the cleaning process and increase cleaning efficiency. Energy and chemical consumption as well as the total cleaning time can be significantly reduced with CIPoptimize. A major advantage and particularly interesting for new customers, is that CIPoptimize can be used independently of the process control system and therefore does not require any special system requirements.

Line Management - Less downtime, more efficiency

Even the shortest downtime can significantly reduce a plant's efficiency. Our Line Management System (LMS) provides a remedy and supports root cause analysis. The add-on can be used regardless of the manufacturer. Thanks to different time accounts (e.g. for production, setup, CIP, etc.), you can calculate a variety of KPIs such as OEE. Cooperation with AVEVA enables group-wide overview

ProLeiT has entered into close cooperation with AVEVA and its data analysis solutions, such as KI or UOC, in order to be able to provide an overview of the current production and the associated energy costs in the individual breweries at group level, for example. This was made possible by the joint development of a ProLeiT data adapter for AVEVA-PI and AVEVA-DataHub (today: AVEVA Connect).
This data adapter not only simply transfers data from ProLeiT to AVEVA, but also makes it possible to transfer the contextualized data generated in the ProLeiT system to the AVEVA world without losing this contextual reference. This avoids time-consuming and potentially error-prone context generation, i.e. double engineering on the partner side. And the overall view for strategic and operational decisions is provided on a harmonized database.

Further expanding open automation

ProLeiT is working closely with Schneider Electric to exploit the full potential of Industry 4.0 and drive the paradigm shift forward.
The latest version of brewmaxx supports the EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE) - an open, software-based and vendor-independent automation solution. This IEC 61499-based solution enables the seamless connection of function modules and simplifies communication between control components, as the automation language is standardized and hardware-independent. It also accelerates engineering and commissioning processes. The switch to IEC 61499-based automation systems is revolutionizing process and machine design. brewmaxx with EAE ushers in a new era of open automation.
