Just few weeks before drinktec opens its doors in Munich, ProLeiT granted the unlimited distribution release for its latest generation of process control systems Plant iT and brewmaxx V9. Make up your own mind and visit us at drinktec in Munich – hall A4 / stand 326 – from 16th to 20th September. Further details are available online at www.proleit.com.
What's new in V9? The result is, after three years of development, a completely redesigned user interface with consistent layout that navigates the user through the menu easily. In close collaboration with external design agencies the ProLeiT R&D department, that was trained by Fraunhofer-Institut für Angewandte Informationstechnik in subjects like usability and UX design, a new user interface that meets the latest standards has been created. Thanks to this operation via touch panels with multi-touch functionality is available now. The “wiping-function”, already known from Windows 8 is supported. Moreover, every operator now is able to create and save his individually tailored “dashboard”. Process images can be pushed by drag-and-drop on other monitors easily now, too.
The V9 differs completely towards its former versions, which were mainly focused on technical developments, because the main-focus now lies on improving the usability. “We respond to our customers' needs for simpler and easier-to-use process control systems. Our goal is our customers to work with our process control systems more efficiently”, explains Manfred Czepl, COO of ProLeiT.
In addition to the latest system generation ProLeiT will present numerous specific solutions for the brewing and beverage industries, which have already been implemented for various customers on the basis of the Plant iT and brewmaxx control systems.
V9-Demo
Especially for drinktec we realized an extensive exhibit with brewmaxx V9, which demonstrates the benefits of the new full version at its best. The basic version was added by the module for materials management and the Add-ons brewmaxx Routing Management and brewmaxx Visu-Recorder.
Carlsberg Fredericia brewery/Denmark
The Carlsberg brewery in Fredericia is one of the largest European breweries with an annual output of roughly 4.3 m hl. More than 40 beer types and no less than 20 mixed products make Fredericia the most important brewery location for Carlsberg in Denmark. It was therefore essential to complete the changeover to the new control system with the least amount of production downtime, also because of this plant produces 65 % of the beer consumed in Denmark – which corresponds to over 4 million hectolitres or approximately 1.2 billion bottles per year. The individual process areas were implemented one after the other in record time, and were put into operation as planned with only a few brief interruptions. The first project phase involved the re-organisation of the whole cellar, consisting of four fermenting cellars with 54 fermenting tanks and two filtering lines with 40 downstream pressure tanks and several tanker stations. brewmaxx was implemented for this entire cold block in one large step. Wort preparation was adapted to brewmaxx during the second project phase. The brewhouse was actually out of service for just six days. The latest project in Fredericia is to replace the current reporting system.
Bavaria Lieshout - sophisticated automation solution for softdrink production plant
At the trade fair ProLeiT will showcase a solution for the complete automation of a syrup room – including HD mixers with two batching tank pairs, one small-quantity dissolving station, one big bag plant, two inline mixers, one CIP plant and one sugar dissolver. Furthermore, the exhibit demonstrates a complete SAP interfacing solution which enables the transfer of material, parts list and order data as well as the feedback of consumption and product values. Another special highlight of this exhibit: The scanner-supported materials handling solution with complete traceability supports operators in the selection of small components and reduces errors to a minimum. The automation solution implemented by ProLeiT allows the customer to produce larger product quantities in far less time – with no compromise in terms of quality.
Kaanlar Food Industry and Trade Co.
This Turkish company relies on the sophisticated scope of functions provided by Plant iT V8.20 and the ALPMA process technology in its new cheese factory. In addition to process-oriented materials management, the award-winning PID controller with "Autotuning Function“ is applied for the automation of the entire milk preparation – from milk receipt and the heating up of cheesemaking milk right up to recombination. Materials management ensures stock control and batch traceability throughout the entire production process.
