At this year’s Powtech, the leading German exhibition for mechanical processing, analysis and handling of powder and bulk solids, ProLeiT AG will present inspiring new products from its range of process control systems and MES solutions. From 26 to 28 September 2017, interested visitors to the exhibition in Nuremberg can additionally pick up information about the new upgrade 9.50 of the Plant iT product family. A further highlight will include ProLeiT’s announcement that Plant iT has now been released for S7-1500 Advanced Controllers from Siemens.

A further highlight at the ProLeiT AG stand (Hall 2 / Booth 130) will be the importance of Industry 4.0 for process automation and learn how it is incorporated into ProLeiT’s process control systems and MES solution. In this context, ProLeiT will utilise drinktec to unveil a new stage on the journey towards digital transformation and demonstrate how converting data into information can now be taken to the next level in the process industry. Using Predix, the innovative cloud platform from GE Digital, captured data can be analysed via the Industrial Internet faster, more efficiently and – thanks to the innumerable opportunities of machine learning – from completely new perspectives. Through the holistic approach to industrial plants, data analyses and real-time monitoring, the Predix-based Plant iT cloud solution is able to deliver reduced downtime, optimised process design, increased market agility, profitable growth and thus enhanced productivity.

Upgrade 9.50: New functions and system extensions 
To coincide with the drinktec exhibition, ProLeiT presents the upgrade 9.50 of its in-house developed process control systems and MES solutions Plant iT and brewmaxx. New operating dialogues, developed on the basis of extensive usability tests, ensure greater operating flexibility while supporting more efficient and effective plant management. Numerous innovative system extensions offer further industry-specific added value benefits:

Plant Acquis iT LMS – Line Management System 
The add-on Plant Acquis iT LMS is used to precisely record, allocate and analyse fault data. Furthermore, it can be applied to create electronic shift and order records – an important step towards paperless production. Operation takes place via a web browser at available operating stations or using mobile end devices. This compact solution provides the basis for optimising filling and packaging plants or auxiliary plants and can be implemented easily and quickly.

Plant Integrate iT Batch Cockpit – Production Evaluation System 
The add-on Plant Integrate iT Batch Cockpit from ProLeiT is a software solution for greater transparency and more effective plant utilisation in the process industry. The add-on is designed for evaluating, processing and validating production data. It additionally facilitates efficient analysis of the large volumes of batch and process data generated during production proceedings. It provides process plant operators with a precise overview of their production activities – meaning correlations are detected and potentials fully used. 

Plant Batch iT MWS – Manual Weighing System 
The Manual Weighing System (MWS), an add-on of the process control system Plant Batch iT, is a computer controlled assistant system for guided, manual weighing processes. The MWS helps to avoid uneconomical weighing processes and off spec batches caused by incorrect additives. It additionally controls adherence to safety regulations and quality standards. The Manual Weighing System offers the process industry a wide array of opportunities for optimising performance. For example, production managers profit from the traceability of the applied materials, while the work of staff at operating stations is significantly aided by clearly structured visualisation techniques and stored workflows.

Plant iT web portal – web reporting including SDK for web applications 
The browser-based Web Portal can be used to open reports online. It is not necessary to install third-party software (Java, Silverlight, Flash, or similar). The Web Portal enables the retrieval of standard production reports (e.g. batch or brew reports) from several production servers and the retrieval of MES reports. Reports created via Microsoft Reporting Services, in particular, can process data from various sources (e.g. partner system databases, OLAP, web services). All the reports from all of the sources can be selected and displayed in the same user interface via variable filters. Further, the module features a Software Development Kit (SDK) for generating unique applications.

Plant iT archive manager – long-term archive solution 
Data and information are the key assets of any company. Keeping them readily available to meet respective customer requirements is an indispensable criterion. The Plant iT archive manager module offers a solution for archiving all transaction data recorded in the control system. The research requests are executed via existing Plant iT clients. Various filters (e.g. order number, recipe, receiving goods number) enable convenient search options according to detailed information within the respective batch, including, for instance, recipe parameters, operator intervention or consumption levels. All the control system’s transaction data is then available for research purposes for three years or more.
